History
esterel
An 8-Metre International Rule yacht with a gaff rig, built according to the earliest version of the formula. Originally commissioned by the Michel brothers, she was purchased in 1990 by Patrick Williamson, owner of the shipyard in Pointe-Rouge. From that moment, a complete restoration began, bringing the yacht back to her former splendour. The beauty and lines of this hull have never gone unnoticed at the events in which she has taken part. In 1992, the year she attended the Brest gathering, the French sailing legend Éric Tabarly proposed that Esterel be declared a national historic monument. The yacht has raced at the gatherings in Cannes, St. Tropez, and Marseille.
