470 MAIN R16L Gold

GOLD MEDAL Mainsail Rio 2016

The R16 mainsail, the gold medal-winning sail at the Rio Olympics.

This exceptional mainsail was developed in collaboration with Sime Fantela and Igor Marenic, the Rio 2016 GOLD MEDAL winners, with the ultimate goal of achieving maximum performance and winning the gold medal.

Featuring a flatter exit, excellent vertical shape distribution, and a slightly flat top, this mainsail performs exceptionally well in both light and strong wind conditions. It’s easier to point in light wind as more mainsheet tension can be applied, and it’s fast and easy to handle in strong wind thanks to the straight exit.

Trust in the gold medal-winning design and take your sailing experience to the next level.
